So the first few weeks of Keto I really wished I had some kind of guide to snacks, because our typical go to snacks (Popcorn, yogurt, chips, pretzels, grapes....) all don't work. So I'm going to share some easy snacks I have used to curb my salty, sweet and frequent (nursing mommy here) cravings!
Mozzarella Sticks wrapped in Pepperoni- I buy the fresh Mozzarella Sticks from Trader Joe's (0g Carbs 5g of fat) or the Horizon Organic Cheese Sticks and the Applegate Pepperoni (0g carbs 10g of fat per slice). I like that those pepperonis are bigger and can wrap around the cheese sticks.
Pepperoni Cheese Melt- I spread pepperoni (0g carbs 10g of fat per slice) on a plate and sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top (10g of fat and 2g of carbs). I microwave it for 1 1/2 minutes and then sprinkle italian seasoning on top.
Fancy Mixed Nuts- I buy the giant tub from Costco. They have (15g of fat and 4net carbs per oz.) If I need something sweet I will add 4 tbsp Coconut Chips (20g fat and 2 net carbs).
Pepperoni Sticks dipped in Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges (1.5g of fat 1 g of carbs). I like the Spicy Pepperjack flavored one.
Mexican Frying Cheese (Queso Frito) pan fried in Grape Seed or Avocado Oil. The taste like little mozzarella sticks! SO GOOD!!!
Pepperoni's with cream cheese ( 0 carbs )
Organic Chicken Bone Broth with Butter (0 Carbs, Fat depends on amount of butter you add)
Avocado sliced with lime juice, salt and pepper (4g carb 29g fat)
